Diwali 2022 Celebration with Student Government Association of Avalon University

The Student Government Association (SGA) and student affairs office, post mid-term week, put on a de-stressing event. They hosted a painting night in conjunction with an early Diwali celebration night this term. The SGA provided canvases, paint brushes, and a variety of paint colors for the night so that students and faculty artistry could flow with Bob Ross’s Peaceful Waters paint instructions.

A few of the attendee’s art piece was commendable as it was reflective of the instructors, whereas some were mayhem and entirely imaginative. It was a fun and relaxing time to pause and unwind. The Rangoli art pieces were a night highlight as the henna hand decorations.

This de-stressing event was focused on self-care, but as we concluded our evening of deep laughter and colorful hands, the Avalon University family bond grew tighter, and the SGA hopes that an event like this can be continued throughout the future.
