What to Expect?

Once the application and supporting documents have been reviewed and processed, the applicant will be scheduled for an interview which is conducted via webcam/Skype-enabled device.

At Avalon we take a student’s entire background into account during the application process. When determining acceptance into AUSOM, our admissions committee utilizes a holistic approach and will factor your interview, academic achievements, volunteer and job experiences, hardships you may have faced and last but not least, you as a person. We are looking for applicants that align with our core values, and demonstrate passion for the field of medicine.

To prepare for the interview, we recommend that you dress professionally, be on-time, and most importantly, being yourself. Interviews will generally last about 45 minutes, so please allow yourself one hour of uninterrupted time.

Interviewers

Our interviews are professional and conversational.  We are not only looking at your academic background, but we are also looking at you as a person.  We look forward to speaking with you!
