I am accepted, now what?

Once the interview is complete, the entirety of the applicant’s file including their interview assessment will be reviewed at the Admissions Committee weekly meeting. If granted, the committee will determine acceptance at this time, and the applicant will be notified of the decision within one week via telephone call, email and an official acceptance packet.

Congratulations! You’ve been accepted! Now you have some decisions to make. We hope at this point you are excited to start your medical education journey and would love to have you join Avalon!

1

Receiving an Acceptance Letter

You will be sent information with your acceptance on how to reserve your seat, and at this time should speak with the admissions department and the Bursar’s office about financial aid and payments.

2

Prepare to come to Curaçao

All students will need to apply for a student resident permit, and some may need a visa to travel to Curacao. Students will receive a detailed checklist after being accepted, showing what they need to complete for Curacao immigration.

3

About 1-2 months prior to the semester in which you are joining, you will receive emails regarding housing options, books, and supplies and what to take to campus.

Clinical Transfer Students

Clinical transfer students will receive a welcome email from their clinical coordinator upon confirming their seat, with specifics pertaining to their program.
