While the MCAT is not a requirement for admission into Avalon University, we strongly encourage prospective students to take this exam. Those who complete the MCAT could be eligible for our Accelerated MD program or various scholarships based on your MCAT score.

This is typically done through standardized tests such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). If you are a citizen of Canada who is fluent in English and have not attempted the TOEFL or IELTS, Avalon University would not require you to complete either exam or submit score reports.

It is advisable to start the application process well in advance to allow time for standardized testing, document gathering, and unforeseen circumstances. We recommend submitting your application no later than one month prior to the start date of your desired semester.

Avalon University admissions interviews are conducted via Google Meets (video conferencing) with 1-2 members of our Admissions Committee.
