Avalon University School of Medicine Welcomes Indian Ambassador Dr. Sumit Seth
On Monday, April 22nd, 2024, Avalon University School of Medicine was honored to host the Ambassador from the Indian Embassy in Panama, Dr. Sumit Seth, and Mr. Mirpuri, a prominent representative of the Indian community. The visit commenced at 10 AM, marking a significant event in the history of Avalon University’s international relations.
Dr. Seth, accompanied by Mr. Mirpuri and an entourage of officials, engaged in enriching discussions with Avalon’s esteemed faculty and leadership, including Dr. Sateesh Arja, Dean of the School of Medicine; Dr. Sireesha Bala, Dean of Basic Sciences; Dr. Amin Fateh, COO and Chief IT Officer; Dr. Praveen KotathVeetil, Associate Dean of Student Affairs; and Dr. Sirving Keli, Associate Dean of Research. These interactions spanned a variety of topics central to the collaboration between India and the international medical educational community.
During his tour, the Ambassador explored the facilities and engaged with both students and faculty, sharing insights on the deep connections between India and the global healthcare sector. His visit fostered dialogue on future academic exchanges and partnerships in healthcare education, emphasizing the critical role of international cooperation in enhancing medical education and practice.
