Women’s History Month Introducing Avalon’s admissions ladies

Mrs. Hannah Childs-Westover, Sr. Admissions Specialist (Last Names A-L)

“I grew up a little bit in a bunch of places, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, just to name the states. I grew up in a big family with 5 siblings and other than my dad was the first in my family to complete my undergraduate degree. I graduated with honors from Nyack College with a B.A. Psychology and dual minors in History and Bible/Theology.

I spent all four years of my undergraduate career working in the Admissions Department where I found that I was placed in a unique situation (as a full time student and diligent employee) to go to class beside the students that I helped bring into the college and see how they grew and thrived. This instilled in me a deep passion for people and the driving desire to help people find their path to become the fullest version of themselves.

When I had the opportunity to work with Avalon University it just made sense! Avalon’s mission is to fill minds with knowledge and hearts with passion so our students become the physician who might one day save a life or inspire the next generation of caretakers and leaders. Avalon’s faculty and staff are a brilliant group of people who I am honored to think of as friends who have become family.”
