Biography
Subha Ramani is the Past President of AMEE, the International Association for Health Professions Education. She is a general internist and educationalist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital; Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School; Adjunct Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions Education; Senior core faculty for the Harvard Macy program for educators; 2025 NHG Education Overseas Expert, National Health Group, Singapore; 2022 Ronald Harden Visiting Professor, International Medical University, Malaysia; External Faculty, SHE, Maastricht University, the Netherlands. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. Areas of scholarly interest include application of theory to educational practice, pedagogy and practice of clinical teaching, sociocultural factors that influence teaching, learning and feedback, mentoring relationships, curriculum design, program evaluation and increasingly, the intersection of culture and education from a global perspective. Her professional goals are driven by cultural humility and the desire to give back to the profession.
