StudentAid BC (SABC) is a financial service for residents of British Columbia, Canada that are seeking to continue their education at a public or private institution. Explore Funding Options
If you are full-time or enrolled with at least 60% of a full-time course load, you are eligible for a loan. These are administered at as a single loan, meaning that there is a single point of contact for your loan management. While you are in school, the interest will be handled by the Federal and Provincial governments. Six months after your schooling ends, you will become responsible for paying back the loan, including all interest. All loans require the Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement to be signed.
If you are a part-time student the loans follow the same process, however the loans do not cover any living costs.
SABC also provides a total of 27 grants options! The grants that they offer have different qualifications. Some of the grants are specifically designed towards full-time, part-time, students with disabilities, etc.
Loan Process

To apply directly through SABC, you must then create/login to your account and apply for the loan through the dashboard. Once you apply, your application will be assessed, and you will then be notified if you qualify for a loan. You can check the status of your loan application through the SBAC website. If you do not agree with the assessment of your loan, it can be appealed, and you can ask for a reassessment.
