Biography

Dr. Pallav Sengupta is a Physiologist and Research Scientist having published about 250 research articles, several distinguished book chapters, with current Scopus h-index of 34 and Google Scholar h-index of 44 and more than 10,500 citations. He is currently a Faculty in Physiology, College of Medicine, at the Gulf Medical University in the United Arab Emirates. He is a former Associate Professor and Head of Services (Research) in the Faculty of Medicine, Biosciences and Nursing, MAHSA University, Malaysia. He is an active member of the Global Andrology Forum (GAF), Ohio, USA. Dr. Sengupta’s key research interests include Reproductive Endocrinology, Reproductive Medicine, and Infertility. He has earned his Ph.D. in Physiology with specialization in Reproductive Endocrinology from the University of Calcutta, India and pursued Research Internship in Andrology and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) from the American Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM), Cleveland Clinic, USA. Dr. Sengupta has been ranked among the Top 2% Scientists in the World by the Stanford University, USA, for four years in a row, 2019 to 2022 (present). He has achieved great recognition in the field of infertility research being ranked 1st as Infertility Research Experts (also in the sub-specialty of Male and female Infertility) in Malaysia, and India consecutively in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, and also 1st rank in the UAE in 2023, by the Expertscape. His contribution to MAHSA University, Malaysia, has had him procure immense respect and the ‘Highest Publication Awards’ in 2019 and 2021.
