GPA Medical School Scholarships for New Students
Attention all NEW and PROSPECTIVE Avalon students!
Did you know that as a prospective student going through the application process with Avalon University School of Medicine, there are medical school scholarships that you could be eligible to receive?
Avalon University offers GPA based scholarships for students who are granted acceptance into the university. To be eligible for one of these medical school scholarships your GPA must meet the following criteria.
*Premed GPA Scholarships & Criteria:
- Premed Chancellor: 3.70 GPA or better ($2,000 One-Time)
- Premed President: 3.45 – 3.69 GPA ($1,500 One-Time)
- Premed Dean: 3.15 – 3.44 GPA ($1,000 One-Time)
- Premed Director: 3.00 – 3.14 GPA ($750 One-Time)
*Basic Science GPA Scholarships & Criteria:
- Chancellor’s Scholarship: 3.70 GPA or better can receive up to $20,000 ($2,000 per semester)
- President’s Scholarship: 3.45 – 3.69 GPA can receive up to $15,000 ($1,500 per semester)
- Dean’s Scholarship: 3.20 – 3.44 GPA can receive up to $10,000 ($1,000 per semester)
To retain scholarship, the student must maintain the required average med school GPA.
Medical school scholarships can be crucial for medical students to cover his or her medical school cost. In order to maintain these GPA based scholarships, it is up to the student to make sure that they are keeping up with their grades and maintaining the required average med school GPA per scholarship criteria.
Avalon University’s Bursar’s Office understands that a student’s medical school cost can be a stressor during the student’s studies. The Bursar’s Office staff do everything they can to ensure students are aware of the eligibility criteria for the various medical school scholarships available at Avalon.
