With ECFMG Certification Changes, Avalon University Remains Strong!

The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is changing their Recognized Accreditation Policy in 2024. Medical students who are applying for their ECFMG Certification must be currently enrolled or graduated from a properly accredited medical university. For schools to be eligible for ECFMG Certification, they must be accredited by an agency that is recognized by WFME or NCFMEA. This change is put in place to support and hopefully enhance the quality of medical education around the globe. Medical schools are doing their best to obtain these accreditations, in hopes to keep their students from transferring to already accredited universities.

Here at Avalon University, our ACCM and CAAM-HP accreditations continue to hold strong. We succeed in meeting the standards of our accreditation agencies and strive to provide a quality education. We are committed to our students and are one of a select number of schools that can meet these high standards by our accreditation agencies. Our students will not have to worry about their eligibility for ECFMG Certification and can put all their focus into making their doctoral dreams come true.

If accreditation is important to you, apply to Avalon University School of Medicine today! Our link for our online application is below!
