CAAM-HP “Full Accreditation” Update from Avalon’s President
Avalon is starting the week with some very exciting news!
Below is a message from Dr. Samir Fatteh regarding an update received from CAAM-HP:
We were visited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP) in March 2023 for re-accreditation purposes. This past Friday, August 4, 2023, CAAM-HP reached out to us with positive news! Avalon is now awarded the status of “FULL ACCREDITATION” for the maximum period of FOUR YEARS!
This is a tremendous feat for Avalon University School of Medicine. Now, Avalon can proudly say that we are the ONLY medical school in the Caribbean to receive the maximum years of accreditation by both CAAM-HP and ACCM.
As a medical school we are a team, and to reach our goals and continually progress to becoming one of the top-tier medical schools in the Caribbean, this can only happen by working as a team and working as one.”
