The Avalon Research Symposium is a platform for external speakers, students, and faculty to disseminate their scholarly work. AUSOM students and faculty are invited to present abstracts and oral presentations in accordance with their completed research.
Theme: Emerging Topics in Medical Research during an Unprecedented Time
The COVID19 pandemic has changed the landscape of medical education and medical research. From transition to virtual learning back to the normal classroom environment, the pandemic has impacted every facet of our society and our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. The symposium brings together experts who will present state-of-the-art topical issues in medical education and the key areas of medical research, from COVID to adolescents’ health and well-being. The highlight of the symposium is a presentation on how medical students can effectively approach the CBSE and Step 1 USMLE.
