ATTENTION: All Transfer Students…Average med school GPA, Transfer Application, and MORE!
Are you happy with your current medical school education? Are you looking to transfer? Do you know how your average med school GPA can affect your transfer options? Did you even KNOW that transferring to Avalon University was an option? Well, NOW YOU DO!
Avalon University School of Medicine considers transfer students from all medical schools. The admissions process for transfer applications is very similar to the admissions process for students who are applying to Avalon for medical school for the first time.
When a student transfers to Avalon University, they are required to provide their average med school GPA, found on their medical school transcripts, a Dean’s letter, and all requested score reports (Example: NBME, USMLE). These documents, in addition to the application, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and digital photos will undergo a review process.
Depending on a number of things including the student’s average med school GPA, the transfer student will be offered an admissions interview.
A student’s average med school GPA tells the Admissions Committee a great deal about the student’s previous medical school experience and the student’s academic caliber. Upon completion of the admissions and interview process, Avalon’s Admissions Committee members will make a final determination on acceptance and placement.
Please feel free to reach out to the Avalon University Admissions Team if you have any questions about transferring!
