A Step Towards UK Medical Careers: Avalon University is Recognized by GMC

We have big news! Avalon University School of Medicine is now recognized by the General Medical Council (GMC)!

In June 2023, Avalon University School of Medicine was granted recognition by the General Medical Council (GMC), the regulatory body for doctors in the United Kingdom (UK). This means that Avalon graduates are eligible to sit for the PLAB test and for GMC registration for medical practice in the UK.

The GMC’s decision to grant recognition to Avalon is a significant achievement for the university. This accomplishment demonstrates that Avalon meets the ambitious standards of medical education set by the GMC, thus giving an opportunity to Avalon graduates to practice medicine in the UK.

Avalon University School of Medicine is committed to providing students with a high-quality medical education that prepares them to be competent and compassionate physicians. Avalon’s curriculum aligns with the GMC’s standards and includes a strong focus on clinical skills training, in addition to offering a number of extracurricular activities that help students to develop their leadership and communication skills.

We, here at Avalon University, are thrilled with this recognition from GMC and we are greatly looking forward to seeing the doors it opens for our students and graduates.
