Avalon University School of Medicine celebrated the 2017 Graduation on Sunday, May 21st, 2017 with our graduating class who have all worked exceptionally hard to earn their M.D. degrees. Family and friends of the graduates as well as the Deans, Board members, key Faculty and Staff were all in attendance to support our graduates for this year.
Our Keynote Speaker address was delivered by Dr. Ikram Khawja, a well-known figure in our community from Youngstown State University, serving as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs prior to his recent retirement. Our graduate speakers were Norman Brian Burgess and Neeharika Ralh, both who excelled in their academics during their time as students with Avalon, and are looking forward to their Residency programs beginning in July. The Srinivasan Award for Excellence was presented to Norman Brian Burgess to recognize his academic excellence as well as his contributions to his community and the University.
Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2017 at Avalon University School of Medicine!
